Project:   Health Risk Assessment – Toluene Dissocyanates
Client:     Flexible Foam Packaging  


E5, Inc. assisted a flexible foam manufacturer in resolving several key air quality regulatory and technology issues surrounding its foam manufacturing process and air pollution control systems. Client is a multi-billion dollar per year manufacturer and supplier of various consumer and industrial products, including, air filter media, bedding, carpet cushion, flexible foam, expanded polystyrene products, polyester fiber and tire products. Our client's facility is subject to various local permitting, Rule 1402 risk reduction and AB 2588 reporting requirements. E5, Inc. sucessfully negotiated with the air pollution agency to modify client's risk reduction strategy, secure new operating permits and obtain approval for its facility-wide Health Risk Assessment.  

Project:   Health Risk Assessment of Ethylene Oxide Sterilizers
Client:     Biotechnology Company


E5, Inc. prepared a Health Risk Assessment and air quality applications to construct an ethylene oxide sterilization and catalytic oxidation system for a medical device company.  Our client is a subsidiary to a major public medical science company with in excess of $10 Billion in revenue.  Our client constructed a new sterilization facility in which E5 assisted in acquiring air quality permits, which involved air dispersion modeling for ethylene oxide, regulatory negotiations, BACT compliance and other air quality issues.  E5 successfully negotiated with local permitting authorities, and secured daily production throughputs for maximum sterilizer operation.
